From an article in the local newspaper (Tullahoma news):  The museum is located in the northwest wing of the South Jackson Civic Center in a series of former school classrooms. It is a museum of local history and provides exhibits that pertain to city and area history. The museum houses items on Tullahoma’s Native American heritage, local Civil War history, World War II and Camp Forrest memorabilia and photos of Tullahoma through its many years of change. Exhibits from various industries can also be found.

“That was painted by a local artist that gave me painting lessons when I first moved here,” said Merryman as she points out a watercolor of the front of South Jackson that is displayed in the museum.

“The painting was found at a yard sale and someone bought it and brought it up here to us,” she said. “It was by chance that it came to us. I was just so excited that it’s here. We have come by many of our things like that or in a similar fashion.”
