There are many Tims Ford State Park Campgrounds surrounding Tims Ford Lake. In fact, there is Tims Ford State Park camping available on each of the islands within Tims Ford Lake as well.

Tims Ford State Park Camping
There are four Tims Ford Campgrounds with a total of 168 Tims Ford camping sites run by the state park (not including the islands). These all have facilities for tent camping and most have RV camping available as well. Reservations are required throughout the year. During the summer months you are limited to 14 days and winter you can stay for up to a month. See the Tims Ford State Park camping reservations site for more details. These are listed below.
Tims Ford Turkey Creek Campground
The Tims Ford State Park Camping at Turkey Creek is located on the northwestern portion of the lake. There is a boat ramp at this location as well according to the Tims Ford Lake Map and fishing areas. This location is only for tent camping and has 20 sites with a fire ring and picnic table. There is a bath house onsite.
The campground is located approximately 9 miles north of the main Tims Ford State Park Campground but is close to Lynchburg TN and Jack Daniels Distillery
Tims Ford State Park Campground
The Tms Ford State Park Campground is the largest of all of the Tims Ford State Park Camping areas and offer the most amenities. Located on Tims Ford State park, this is conveniently located to two marinas, a boat ramp, numerous hiking trails and biking trails on Tims Ford State Park, as well as a 20 minute or so drive to either Winchester TN and Lynchburg TN.
The Tims Ford State Park campground is surrounded by trees, meandering paths, bike paths and more.
Make sure to check out the ice cream at the Lakeview Marina (within the park) which is a short bike ride or walk from the campground.

Fairview Devil Step Campground || Tims Ford Fairview Campground
Tims Ford Fairview Devil Step Campground is also known as the Tims Ford Fairview Campground is located by the Devils Step Boat Ramp. The campground is on a peninsula that has 3 sides surrounded by water.
There are 82 campsites at this Tims Ford State Park Camping location and most have electrical and water hookups, though the amps vary by site from 20, 30 or 50 amps. 31 of the sites have sewer hookups also. There are is a bath house with hot and cold water, and wifi is available.
This Tims Ford camping location is in an ideal spot which is close to downtown Winchester TN and the boat ramp, and on the water. Additionally, there is a beautiful 2 mile hiking trail that meanders by the water called the Boiling Fork trail that has a trailhead from the campground.
Tims Ford Campgrounds on Tims Ford Lake Islands
The islands are a Tims Ford State Park campground that you can paddle in to or get dropped off on. Reservations are required for these Tims Ford camping sites which are all 100% primitive. What you bring in you must bring out. Leatherwood Island does have a port-a-potty while the other islands do not. That means there are no amenities -- is that bad?
Well you will likely get a full island to yourself in the middle of the lake. How amazing!

Pricing varies for the all of the Tims Ford Campgrounds but generally is very reasonable.
Commercial Tims Ford Campgrounds
There are a handful of campgrounds that are not a Tims Ford State Park campground -- they are all run by commercial businesses.
The Forest At Tims Ford Campground
The Forrest at Tims Ford Campground is new as of 2023 . It is purely an RV campground with the amenities allowing RVs to camp just by Tims Ford State Campground and state park. The campground is on 50 acres and has 74 concrete pads for RVs set amongst the trees. They have Wifi, a dog park, and 20 tent camping areas as well.

Tims Ford Marina campground has many sites that overlook the water. This is one of the Tims Ford Campgrounds where some people have their RV there all year long
