Jack Daniels Distillery

Jack Daniels Distillery began distilling in the mid 1860s when Jack was just around 18 years old in Lynchburg TN.  The distillery tour requires reservations though during slower (colder) months and some weekdays you can typically make them a day or so in advance.  This is the largest distillery in the area.  You can also find a Lynchburg TN Map if you're interested in visiting the stores or restaurants a short walk from the Distillery

George Dickel Distillery

The History of the George Dickel Distillery is similar to Jack Daniels though they are a much smaller distillery.  They offer tours and tastings in a beautiful setting.

Nearest Green Distillery

A bit further north from the George Dickel Distillery is a newer Whiskey maker called Nearest Green Distillery.  Nearest Green was the mentor to Jack Daniel in making whiskey.   This distillery was founded in 2017 on a horse farm in Shelbyville TN.  

The distillery is about 25 minutes from the George Dickel Distillery.

Branchwater Distillery

Branchwater Distillery in WInchester TN was the dream of its founder a handful of years ago.  The distillery is just a block off the Winchester TN square and has limited hours.  You can get a tour onsite from the owners and view the distilling equipment first hand.  And taste their product which is not whiskey but moonshine.

Prichard's Distillery

Prichard's Distillery is another smaller whiskey distillery. The distillery is located in Kelso TN which is southwest of Lynchburg by about 20 minutes and 30 minutes to Winchester TN. The drives on the rural roads are beautiful.
