The City of Winchester TN is a 10,000 person city in south central Tennessee, in Franklin County.  The County was named after Benjamin Franklin (who never lived in the area), and the city was named after in honor of General James Winchester (February 26, 1752 - July 26, 1826), a soldier of the American Revolution, first Speaker of Tennessee Legislature, and a Brigadier General in the War of 1812 (Winchester lived north of Nashville).

  • Caitlin:  Walnut Hill is truly a special place. I’ve been enjoying their coffee since they were a little truck parked outside of Tractor Supply. The Fidgety Fox is my favorite coffee drink of All Time. I could drink it everyday, multiple times a day. I also often grab a BLT bagel to enjoy with it. Now with their gorgeous brick and mortar space, their expanded food offerings are just delicious. The ambience is exactly what I’m looking for in a coffee shop. I adore this place. It is the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to shops in Austin, Seattle, and NYC. If you are in the area, you MUST try them!

Or even just get out of the house for a little bit..this place is great for getting work done and taking in the sights of historical downtown Winchester. Walnut hill coffee co has fantastic coffee, food options, and a vast amount of space for gatherings big and small.  They also offer wifi for their guests.   • Katie:  Started with trying all three tacos! They were amazing, full, fresh, and tasty. The Alamo with crispy potatoes was my favorite. The space is large and offers a variety of areas to relax, visit, or get some work done. We were able to try a number of drinks throughout the weekend.  We couldn't stay away. My favorite iced drink was the frisky fox, similar to a shakarato. The best hot drink was the campfire. They smoke the espresso and serve it with a toasted marshmallow.   • Kimi:  Tried several items here today and was an overall great experience. The ambrosia Alfredo was hands down the best thing o had there, taste amazing, perfectly Creamy sauce. The bruchetta was fantastic and tasted very fresh. The cheesecake sub tasted awesome, though was almost as much mushroom as meat.. the cheese curds were ok but nothing special. The chicken Parmesean was very disappointing, the chicken itself was almost to salty to eat, but the marinara itself was good and the other food was god enough to assume this was a slip.. I was suprised by the ordering at the register, filling your own drinks, and never being checked on by waitress,  but am thinking lunchtime procedure may be different than dinner. Atmosphere was good, cute decor, can tell it was recently updated, though walls were falling apart. The food.. will have me coming back for sure.

  • Naomii: Had the worst morning, so I went for a drive and found this gem. When I say a plate of really good food can change your mood tremendously, this place can definitely do it. Pad Thai was spot on and home cooked with their own special Pad Thai sauce. Steamed pork buns were delicious as well. Food was hot and delicious and service was great! Turned my whole day around.   • Mike: Wow what a great meal!  This place is a gem of Winchester.  Such a nice break from country meat and 3 restaurants.   Great flavors.   Had the red curry duck and red curry pork.   Steamed dumplings and Tom Kha Gai soup.   All was delicious.   Veggies were crisp and fresh.   The duck was cooked perfectly.  Tender inside and crispy outside.   Service was excellent.   Highly recommend.  We were just passing through town but will definitely be back!
