We're fortunate to have a local Winchester TN Hospital as well as others that are close by despite being in a small area.

The Winchester TN hospital is owned by Lifepoint Health who owns health systems and hospitals nationwide.   The hospitals in the area are all owned by one of two major systems systems:  Vanderbilt Health or Lifepoint Health.  

Who is Vanderbuilt Health?  From their website ... they are the most comprehensive health system in the southeast.  They have 7 hospitals and over 200 clinics across the area.

Who is Lifepoint Health?  From their website:  "Lifepoint Health serves patients, clinicians, communities and partners across the healthcare continuum. Our diversified healthcare delivery network extends from coast to coast, consisting of community hospitals, rehabilitation and behavioral health hospitals, and additional sites of care."

Our Winchester TN Hospital falls under the Southern Tennessee Regional Health System which is owned by Lifepoint Hospital System. This hospital is called, Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Winchester. It has 132 beds and is located on 41A going southeast from Winchester towards Cowan.  

According to the Winchester TN Hospital website as of this writing, "STRHS-Winchester is a comprehensive medical facility licensed for 131 acute beds and 26 skilled care/nursing home beds and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission. The wide array of services available at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System combined with a qualified and diverse medical and nursing staff, is designed to meet the healthcare needs for the people and communities of Southern Middle Tennessee."  

Additional details on our Winchester TN Hospital include, "...a 10-bed ICU, a 12-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, a 12-bed Acute Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit, a Skilled Nursing Unit, Sleep Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, five OR Suites and two Endoscopy Suites. There is also a 13-bay Emergency Room with over 15,000 annual visits."

The Sister to the Winchester TN Hospital

The Sewanee TN Hospital formally named, "Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Sewanee" is a sister hospital facility of the hospital in Winchester TN. It is is a 21-bed general acute care facility and a 20-bed skilled care facility. Including the facilities of both medical centers, the Winchester TN Hospital and the sister Sewanee Hospital, they are a combined 198-bed acute and skilled care facility. The Sewanee facility is also owned by Lifepoint as well.

From their website, The Sewanee hospital "... has a four-bay Emergency Room that sees over 5,000 patients every year. Radiology services include MRI, CT, PET/CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound and X-ray."

Other Facilities From The Winchester TN Hospital

The Tullahoma Hospital is a Vanderbilt Hospital -- Vanderbilt purchased this in early 2021 from Tennova Healthcare. Tullahoma TN is approximately 20 minutes from Winchester. The Tullahoma Hospital is a 135 bed hospital located in the center of Tullahoma.  

According to the Tullahoma hospital website, the "facility offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services, including an accredited Chest Pain Center, a 14-bed critical care unit, imaging services including nuclear medicine and PET scan, labor and delivery with a Level 2 nursery, sleep medicine, orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation and more."

Is There Any Other Winchester TN Hospital?

Unfortunately, there are not more hospitals though there are urgent care clinics that may be able to help you with your medical concerns as well. For finding Urgent Care Winchester TN, then there are 4 centers in the Winchester TN city but just over the city lines there are more including both in Decherd and Tullahoma.
